Booktoberfest 2024 (Sep 24–Oct 29) is our biggest event of the year for adult readers brought together by a shared love of reading. We'll kick things off TUE, Sep 24 with a Book Nerd Trivia Party. Hear authors Elijah Wald, Bonnie Garmus, and Louise Erdrich, to name a few. We'll read with cats, hear spooky music with KPR Live, watch Bride of Frankenstein, and more!

The National Institute on Aging reports that those who volunteer regularly experience reduced stress, lower blood pressure, lower rates of depression and anxiety, improved cognitive health, and even lower mortality rates! Join the SRC on the National Day of Service to learn about the many opportunities for older adults to volunteer throughout our county. They're featuring 30 local non-profit organizations, so you're bound to find your passion and purpose post-retirement!
